"4) THOSE PEOPLE: this debut movie from young director Joey Kuhn is the one gay narrative that we are most excited about. Two best friends and one boyfriend try to connect the dots so that they can finally find happiness. Unquestionably one of the best of its genre that we have seen for a long time, it is the perfect example on how to make a really excellent movie that completely belies the reality of its micro budget. It's destined to make you laugh and to cry too, and you will see that maybe it is not a bad thing to have your best friend secretly in love with you after all."

Another great review, from Hammer to Nail!

Read Hammer to Nail's wonderful review of Those People here:

"...Those People is also a benchmark of advancement in cinema themes. It’s one of the first times, in my recollection, in which a filmmaker is able to tell a story about gay men wherein the focus isn’t on their sexuality. Obviously, we still have a long way to go as a society. But this truly universal tale of loving assholes, parental disillusionment, and being dragged, kicking and screaming, into adulthood, is a cinematic baby step in the right direction."

THOSE PEOPLE to screen at FRAMELINE !

We're beyond excited to announce that Those People will be headed to San Francisco in June for Frameline! We are honored to have been chosen as a NARRATIVE SHOWCASE film, which means we will be screening in the 1400-seat CASTRO THEATER on June 19th! Please come join us if you are in San Fran - let's fill the place! A little birdy told me that our amazing cast will also be there...

"Obsession, scandal, and shifting loyalties put pressure on a lifelong friendship and a new relationship in Joey Kuhn’s erotic, arresting directorial debut."

The Moveable Fest Review -- “THOSE PEOPLE MARKS A DAZZLING, DECADENT DEBUT FOR JOEY KUHN"

As it turns out, there may be a beautiful coming-of-age story at the center of “Those People,” but an even more invigorating one behind the scenes in witnessing a filmmaker with as distinctive a voice as Kuhn come right out the gate with something so accomplished.

The Seattle Gay Scene Review -- "Those People a Refreshing Triumph At #SIFF"

Those People positions itself in the vanguard of the new LGBT film wave as an instant classic about loyalty, forgiveness, self-nurturing, and accepting love even when you don’t feel you deserve it.
